| CASE STUDY #5 Private Secondary School Director of Development Background: The Client, a select, co-ed, secondary school with an enrollment of 600 students in grades 9 – 12, chartered The Artisan Group to conduct a search for a new Director of Development. The Development function was in need of a significant overhaul. A Capital Campaign had stalled, annual giving had hit a plateau, and communications to parents and alumni were inconsistent. The School’s Headmaster and Board of Trustees had committed to make a significant investment in bolstering all aspects of the Development and Alumni Relations office. The Artisan Group was successful in presenting a slate of 3 qualified candidates for the Client’s consideration. These candidates were interviewed (in addition to several candidates the Client had secured prior to The Artisan Group's involvement with the search). After two rounds of interviews with the Headmaster and Board Search Committee, one of the candidates presented by The Artisan Group was presented with an offer, which was subsequently accepted.
